January 1997 to May 97 : Remy International : Network Support. Migrated a new server to Novell 4.1 including assisting the establishment of the NDS for the company. Installing AS400 PC client access using NS-Router and for the BPCS integrated client server system; Lotus Notes administration and Notes PC client support in Windows 95 and MS Office environments. Investigation of Stac Replica as an Arcserve 6.0 replacement. HPJetdirect support : all in a new Windows 95 environment working under pressure to achieve the overall project rollout deadlines. Foster Refrigerator (UK) Ltd April 96 to August 96 I was taken on here to assist with PC support, and troubleshooting Novell servers, virus problems and WAN problems. I have implemented a LAN wide McAfee antiviral solution, Mcafee software auditing, while assisting with ad hoc pc software and hardware configuration faults ; rolling out new PCs to the standard here which includes Lotus Smartsuite as well as IBM Novell AS400 Attachmate connectivity with IBM SAA Extended PC Support .Microsoft Office. AS400 (OS/400) admin followed on from previous experience in 1992 at Contship (UK)Ltd where I was an AS400 operator. Kleinwort Benson / DEC : March 1996 I was taken on by DEC in a flexible role to assist their "Break/Fix" PC support team and helpdesk . : Windows; MS Office : Excel 5 Word 6, PC hardware reconfiguration and repair, Hard disk changes etc, PCMCIA notebook support, use of MS TechNet (I am a licence holder).Years of customer facing activities culminated in 2nd line support of users in a merchant bank environment: networking configuration ; application problem solving of pcs. On the helpdesk, I have undertaken application support as well as on the fly Windows and Novell support. Rank Organisation PLC August 95 to February 1996 I was invited to return as network administrator. I was involved in commissioning a new UNIX manufacturing system. I have had a chance to use my UNIX skills here, have acted as CC Mail administrator for the company, installed Lotus Notes client, streamlined the support of client machines development of networked shared of data.
