Designed and Implemented DNS Configuration and Active Directory

Designed and implemented a DNS configuration for the Project environment. An AD integrated DNS infrastucture was designed for internal company use and split from the external dns requirements via forwarding servers. Site services, DNS name space and OU structure was designed, with Global Catalogue DNS and decentralised DHCP at each of the three sites comprising the business.(HQ, Swiss office and NetCentre eCRM / Callcentre).

Close liaison with the other IT stream members and other delivery streams incorporating their theoretical knowledge and designs into

practical designs which I then implemented. This included a detailed topology design based on RFC 1918 addressing which was separated by the comprehensive firewalling from the front end legally addressed infrastructure.

Provided technical assistance to stream members when required. Advice was given about AV protection for the infrastucture. Advice was given regarding the benefits of Cisco Netranger IDS system. Firewall

Design and Implementation Documented

Full working network design documention and procedural installation documentation produced for the project. This included complete step by step documentation for the build and rebuilding of the Nokia and Cisco HA firewall sets and for all router sets in the deployment.
